The historic campus of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary was originally designed and built in 1926 by James Gamble Rogers (whose most notable works include the main campus at Yale University) and Frederick Law Olmstead.

With over 50 acres and one million square feet of building, the campus requires a substantial amount of maintenance. MWAP was first brought on to develop a deferred maintenance plan for the historic structures.

Following that work MWAP developed an academic master plan to upgrade strategic facilities to address the changing demographics of the Seminary.

In the final master plan, Boyce College will be expanded to accommodate an increase in enrollment. The library will be renovated and modernized to include new reading rooms, faculty offices and a cafe.

Additionally, our master plan outlines a proposal for privatization of vacant land on the campus. This privatization would propose luxury rental and senior housing on the site for non-tuition revenue generation.
